Ayahuasca Visions gallery

In 1991, in collaboration with anthropologist Luis Eduardo Luna, Pablo Amaringo released a book of his visionary paintings called Ayahuasca Visions: The Religious Iconography of a Peruvian Shaman. Here are some of the paintings from that book:

You can also download a PDF which includes Pablo’s description of his paintings: Ayahuasca Visions by Pablo Amaringo.

    aloha,
i am an artist in Hawaii- primarily abstract – acrylic.
I just had to say…this is absolutely STUNNING. Just profoundly beautiful…I am also a Buddhist – and it reaches out off of the canvas and just …. stunned silence…
    I am inspired.

    Dear Cosmic Beings
The Paintings of Don Pablo are the most fascinating and real magic and prophetic paintimgs we (the word i disconnects you from god) ever had seen in our live.
We know that he is the soul of the world. He also made a painting of us..we go in some weeks to southamerica and will meet him into the nagual…we are the man with rhe fish in the boat in the jungle of the amazonas..you can see this painting in the gallery in costa rica number 23. This is true.
